I like to give vague but memorable hints, that way later I can say"Remember when I said***"
I know he is not able to read between the lines or get a subtle hint, but so what the idea is ,that when he does not get it I can tell him what an insensitive cad he is *** and he believes it>

We like to be surprised, but no-one is a mind reader, so we often throw out hints (subtle, strong and then TOTALLY OBVIOUS). Alas, you guys aren't that great at picking them up, so it usually results in disappointment.

The trouble with plain English is that sometimes, if something you want is on the expensive side, asking for it directly seems a bit ... inappropriate, you know?

I quit playing the game when I was about 20. I usually know what the hints are all about, but I only respond to them as a surprise. If it's a need, I have no problem with it, if it's a want I evaluate it. I rarely say no, but I will say wait.

Well I do admit I often will hint first before having to spell it out to him, Just because when you spend alot of time with a person you assume they will notice subtle differences in your demeanor. BUT, I am growing to find out that subtleties are often lost on men...I sometimes forget that though, only because I am extremely intuitive and can pick up on alot of what people dont say.

I was married to someone that gave hints and clues. She never came right out and told me exactly what it was that bothered her or what she really wanted or expected. We lasted 16 years so I must be pretty good at reading minds or we were just lucky. Then again I was looking for a lot more than 16 years.

Plain English. The idea that "if he really loves you, he'll know what you want/need/think", is absolutely ridiculous. Everyone who is a survivor of an immature relationship remembers the fights that ensue from that thinking.

I ask in plain English...of course I'm 39. I think I realized around 28 that encrypted messages don't really work....He's just not as psychic as I am...hehe

I confess, I used to use the "read in between the lines method" alot in the begining, but now I just speak up, we both do acctually, if you keep that read in between the lines method going your never going to get anywhere, speak up it's not a game this is your heart were talking about!!!!
