Well, without the disk you cannot use the printer. You need to seek for a replacement and you cannot download from the Internet. When buying a new CD-Installer give them the model of the printer and they will give you a replacement. Otherwise look for the CD.

Contact Dell and ask for a copy of the disc. They will probably send it for free or little cost. Do you not have friend with boadband that would let you go to the Dell site and download it? If you gave me the printer model number I would be happy to download it for you. My e-maill address is david3030lindsay@yahoo.com

For a faster/cheaper solution try in this order:
Go to the control panel / Install new hardware, and try to manually select the driver from the list.
If there is no driver for your printer, ask your geek friend (everyone has one, right?) to fetch it for you, or go to the nearest cybercafé / gaming center and plead for help.
If that doesn't work, call your nearest service center, they will usually provide you with a CD at very little cost.
If nothing else works, try contacting the manufacturer.

Search Drivers and the type of printer.. Install the drivers, and you should be good to go, (Then check the manufactures website, they may have cool software)..
(If you have windows Xp you may just need to go to control panel and add a printer and search the list for the exact model you have)..

Find a friend with a CD burner and a high speed internet connection. Then have them find the drivers/ installation program required to install that printer. Have them burn it to cd.

You can always e-mail the company with the model, etc and have them send you a new disc (probably woudn't run more than a few dollars). You could go to a friends house with a fast connection and download it to a thumb drive..... that's probably what I'd do.....

Ask a friend who has a fast connection to download the driver and put it on a DVD, CD, flash or finger drive.
