I've been trying to hold down the left trigger when i turn it on but nothing is happening. How do i get into there?

I've been trying to hold down the right trigger but nothing is happening. Can anyone help?

Make sure you do a complete shut-off, you can do this two ways.
Take out the battery and put it back in, or hold the power button up until the PSP turns off. (Make sure you hold it until it turns off.)
Then turn the PSP back on holding R.

3.10 OE
3.03 OE
3.02 OE
2.71 SE
1.62 IE
eiffel56's custom 1.53 firmware
To access the recovery menu, use the suggestion above.

Its the right trigger lol, but I think you can only enter it on custom firmwares. bricked it? check out http://afterdawn.com
