this is for extra credit in my class, the year is 1879.
i need to know if women could file for divorce in NORWAY then?

Women have been allowed to file for divorce since 1536/1537 in Norway. They had to give a valid reason for this, such as infidelity, impotence or that the husband had run away. The king had to validate the divorce, and the actual law came in 1582 and was practically unchanged until 1909.
