I heard somewhere that when people get elimanted in the show, they get to stay in the country they are elimanated for like a couple months or something, or till the show's over. Is this true?

They don't stay in the country they were elimanated in but, like Survivor the losers stay in a nice 4 star hotel until the finale to stop people from going home and telling who won and who lost. They are not allowed to contact their families or anyone on the outside until the finale of the show. It's usually only a month. Everyone comes home at the same time and sign confidentiality agreements

No, they get flown to a hotel or other place where they can stay incognito until the race ends (not necessarily until the broadcast date) to avoid revealing who won or lost. At most this is a couple of weeks, versus a couple months for Survivor.
