It's obvious that they have something to hide.
But it's more than that. Bush fundamentally does not believe that the Executive branch is accountable to either the courts or to Congress. He thinks he (and his aides) are completely above the law. He's had lawyers argue this exact point before courts.
By allowing his aides to testify before Congress under oath, and more by admitting that Congress has the power to subpoena them (as they have for 128 years, see 2 USC 192), Bush would have to admit that the Executive branch is not untouchable and is just one of the three branches, accountable under the and the Constitution.
And in his eyes, that makes him look weak.

Not only does he not want them to be under oath but he also has said that he doesn't want a court reporter in the room. If these things are not agreed to, then he is going to invoke executive privilege and not have them testify at all. Sounds like he doesn't want to be impeached like Clinton. If you are not under oath and there is no record of your testimony, then you cannot be prosecuted for lying. If you want to take that as having something to hide, then oh well.....(that's the way I take it too)

gasoline expenditures have not something to do with who's president. particular the elections impression the gasoline expenditures, some months previously an election gasoline expenditures decrease to just about not something, after the election they bypass way up lower back. so which you're question is beside the point to Obama and Bush. they had not something to do with how a lot the gasoline expenditures.
