I would save 10 strangers. I don't know what it means by someone you know because I know people I like and don't like. I would save 10 strangers because it would mean that I helped some one and saved their lives. Also, I could be recognized by that deed.

If I were able I would save both. All human life is important. I hope someone would do so for me. I believe you meant if 10 strangers or someone you knew at the same time needed saving. Either way I would have to do what ever I could!

10 strangers because they have 10 times more potential and they're all people someone else knows so instead of helping yourself by helping someone you know, you're helping ten people by helping the 10 people that they know. And if you don't help the 10 and you end up helping the person you know, your concience would get to you and you would probably feel too much guilt so you wouldn't even be helping yourself by helping who you know instead of the 10 strangers.. That's how I see it anyways :-) :-) :-)

I would save the people I care for the most for at first. I think it is a human nature to do so. It is hard to say unless you are in the situation already, just can assume what you'll do...
Then I would go for kids.

I really don't know what I would do until God forbid faced with a situation where I would be forced to choose...
(and believe me no one knows what they would do either, unless they've already had to make a similar choice...)
