Well considering that you are housing big flowerhorns, you have lots of factors in decorating. For one thing, you can put plastic plants with a rock or some kind of decoration holding it in its place. You can use crushed coral as the substrate to give more of a brighter look than dark colored gravel. Other than that, look at members tanks on flowerhorn forums like Flowerhornusa.com. My flowerhorn tank has plain pea-sized gravel with plastic plants. Hope this helps!

The best suggestion is not to decorate very much. Your tank is severely cramped with these fish that grow too big for it, and decorations will only make the tank smaller.

Good luck, you'll need it in the future - or rather, the poor fish will.

Nice fish! We used to have a few Jack Dempsey's....

They are strong fish...so we always had luck with using Slate and making some Slate Caves.....almost looked like a Fred Flinstone house one piece on each side and then a top...just make sure it's stable...and the fish like the fact that they have a place to hide out.

You may want to try a more natural colored substrate, like crushed coral or shells, to make them stand out more, I agree with the answer above about the slate. I have learned alot from this website: http://www.vatoelvis.com/Home.php They have a lot of ideas on there as to how to aquascape.
