What tasks have they completed. What good work have they done? I voted so our current government would end this confrontation between Islam, and the free world. They have not yet countered any decisions made thus far. Bush has had his way it looks like to me. 2008 is very important we need leadership. We need people who are willing to make decisions based on truth not some trumped up ideas that these old men have. I would be glad to take them all on but do not have the power or the money. I consider this a very important moment in our history. The direction we are headed is not the right one. There has been far to much violence and death. This group you call congress are not true leaders they are a group of career politicians who have no idea of what is going on in the real world. They are playing games with peoples lives. They are truly weak minded individuals. They have made us more vulnerable to attack from the enemy not safer. A Congress that roles over for any administration is one we cannot afford. We have upwards of thirty thousand more troops in Iraq, I ask you what for? Because Bush has absolute power he has usurped the Presidency. He toys with congress. This may seem an exaggeration but who has stopped him. Who will stop this mad man. This cocain addict who steps on peoples lives as though they were mere cattle to slaughter. He has drawn enough blood. The blood of our soldiers was not meant to be spilled by such fools, and congress needs to be perged of men who seek power for the sake of power. We need leaders men who will step forward in the face of what might be the most dire consequences that have ever existed in our history. Men who will lead then relinquish their hold on power when it is time.

I'm not proud of them at all. You must be talking about the newly elected Democratic carpetbaggers because the old guard didn't ask any hard questions until they figured out that the public was growing tired of the "war". If it's a war then what government are we fighting against? Are we at war with the country of Iraq? Are we at war with a country that invaded Iraq? The answers are no so people should stop calling it a war. It's a conflict.

Not at all. I think it's odd that anyone would think they have asked "hard questions" about the endless money, when they attached all the "pork" (political pay-offs) to the bill that just passed. If they were really interested in ending the war as so many far left liberals are why didn't they simply refuse to fund it? I support President Bush, our troops and the war. Thanks

This sort of war has traditionally taken a decade or two, and that's not "endless." Lord knows from the fall of Baghdad to the establishment of the present government was a long series of blown opportunities, and it's perfectly appropriate to be PO'd, but that's no reason to go ADHD about it. I get the impression nobody seems to learn American history any more, and counterinsurgency operations like the Philippine insurrection and the "Banana Wars" seem completely unknown to the general public.

Pfft... You talk about wasted money, but these same democrats of whom you seem to be so proud spent millions of dollars worth of pork to buy votes for a meaningless resolutions. Come talk to me when you can explain how putting hundreds of thousands of dollars toward shrimp farms and peanut storage (among other pork-barrell projects) will further this country's growth or solve problems of national security, unemployment, or other big issues.
Fact is this is a purely political move by spineless politicians who don't have the stomact to stand up to the lunatic left. It's all about POWER, and frankly I'm sick of seeing demoncrats play checkers with the hearts and lives of our men and women in uniform.

Congress ask hard questions? When? The last time I heard Congress hasn't had the guts to ask the hard questions. For that matter I haven't heard any hard questions from any politican. Nor have I heard any realistic answers from any of them. How do you tell when a politican is lying-----thier lips are moving!

Not really because if they had asked these same hard questions 4 years ago their never would have been a war in Iraq. All the Dems are doing now is trying to make up for their monumental mistake of voting for the war in Iraq.

And you have no problem with the 60+ billion in pork added to get even her own partys support....Congress should be ashamed at hiding these things in there and saying it is for the troops...HOW DOES 25 B going to Pelosi's home state spinach growers that POISENED us help the troops?

I say that you have to rein in the Sociopath Bush as he thinks that he is the one that runs the American government totally by himself with the help of his PNAC cowards like Dickless Cheney, the Devil Karl Rove and many more. George Dumb Dumb Bush better realize that he is a leader of a democratic country and not dictatorship which he thinks he is running.

If they have to impeach the moron along with Dickless Cheney then let it be. Enough is enough and he does not listen so make the dumb puck listen and impeach the morron.

Never let another idiot with the last name of Bush run for President of the United States again as they are nothing but a bunch of cowards and losers and George Walker Bush is not only a loser but an ex alcoholic and druggie who can't even conduct a speech properly using the English language.

I am ashamed of how petty and nasty the current Congress has become. It is getting ugly and reflects on the constituents of each district, which in turn continues to twist the knife in the wound of divisiveness.
