Is it Cable Internet, fiber optics, or what.
It is based off of CABLEvision. And it advertises as the biggest FIBER OPTICS network out there. It runs SLOWER than any fiber optics or cable out there (capped at 200 kbs per download at a GREAT server)

Was there a question there or were you just venting? Haha. Sounds frustrating, I had Optimum Online for a couple years but never had an issue and regularly got 1.3 to 1.4Mbps. Have you had a technician come out to measure your signal levels, replace cable modem, etc...? For what you're paying for it, you should certainly be getting a lot better than 200K.
