I think next to human creation the polar aurora is the most beautiful work of God I ever seen but when I see pictures I never see people no where around is it because of the particales,gases etc or people just aren't allowed in those areas?????

...that's so funny... the Aurora is earths magnetic field being rippled by the sun's energy's passing by us in space... they are solar rain-bows...you cant 'catch' ether one of them.

astronauts have taken photos..so has Hubble, and even high altitude air craft have taken pictures of the auroras..

the auroras are at the otter layer of our atmosphere..and depending on the intensity of the solar flair that generates them, the aurora have been seen as far south as New Mexico, are often seen in the lower 48, and a few scientists even thing there might have been a period in earth history where auroras could have been a global phenomenon..

They may well be the heavens most fascinating art works, but...there are some heavy duty dues to pay for the show...radiation from the sun inters our inner atmospheric layers during severe Aurora storms, and we all are affected by those occurrences.

they are beautiful..mesmerizeing..fassinateing tho..huh..?

My Son sees them in Alaska all the time!
