The only part I remember from this movie other than it was very funny, is a scene wher Jack Lemmon fills coffee pecolator basket to over flowing and just runs his hand across it to even it with the top of the basket. I for some reason just found it hilarious.

It is much older that Grumpy Old Men. I too thought it might be The Apartment and although that was funny too it was not it. Thanks for the help so far.

It was not the Odd Couple. This is really driving me nuts! I wish that I could remember something more about it.

It just occured to me that I do remember a bit more but it is vague. I seem to remember him going back and forth from one apartment to another through some kind of court yard. It was like maybe he was seeing to women. I am not sure.

It doesn't sound like something Felix Unger in The Odd Couple would do since it would go agaginst his OCD character but could it have been a scene from The Prisoner of Second Avenue?

I dont know if this is the one you are thinking of, but there was a scene just like it in the "Odd Couple." And that movie is hillarious, one of my all time favorites. It was one of his first, so it is pretty old. Check it out.

ok... thats little weird. I would suggest she see someone about the infatuation with this movie. While it is completely natural for women to fantasize about movie stars and the like it appears this Fantasy could be getting a little out of hand. In the end it is you decision, but if it bothers you I would suggest you ask her to talk to someone.

I Love Jack Lemmon!.....Sorry I can't seem to place that one, he had so many movies. I loved (Some like it hot) where him and Tony Curtis dress up like girls to hide from gangsters, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.............Wish I could be more help but good luck & hope you find it.

Irma La Douce was funny and I know Jack played a character that ended up working several jobs or having to stay up and get no sleep... so maybe it was in this one?

Could it be "Grumpy Old Men" or "Grumpier Old Men" ? That's sounds like something his character would do.
