like is there any way i can boot from the external hard drive when i got to put windows on it says it cant acess it and list a number or reasons

Theres no known way to do it. You may be able to put it on an internal hard drive, put it in a USB enclosure, take it to another computer and boot from USB. Thats probably the only way that even sounds reasonable.

Yes you can but I wouldn't suggest it anyway (even for XP). It doesn't make Windows portable, and it operates slower (who needs that?!). If you try using the external drive on another computer, it will crash and burn.

If you want two different installs, you are much better off with 2 drives in trays and swap them out.

No,your computer will only boot from hard drive,CD ROM,DVD ROM,and floppy drive....sorry

when you install windows, choose that drive for windows to install
