I do use a moisturiser and I rotate it with another one every couple of months,I also use an after shave oil from Aveda.

A few thoughts mate, having suffered similar issues.
Have you tried an electric razor? May not be so harsh on your skin. My sensitive skin is much better off with electric than wet shaving. I've got a good Philips one that doesn't get my skin reacting as much as other electrics or wet shaving.
Vitamin C is great for your skin, so make sure your diet has an optimum amount. Also that your diet is balanced. There's always a moustache for your upper lip, I guess.
I know many people have suggested moisturising, which you do, perhaps something a bit different, such as vaseline might create a better barrier against moisture loss - though you're getting rash/inflammation and not just dryness. Keep rotating the moisturisers, perhaps with something like E45 cream, which I use for my dry skin.
I keep an Aloe Vera plant on my windowsill, and cut bits off if I get any rash effect, in the hope that fresh is better than some cream made from it. They're about 3 or 4 pounds, so don't break the bank, and a good rescue remedy.
Also, try one of the old fashioned barber shops and see if a professional shave makes any difference - tell them about your problem too, they could have some tips for you.
Good luck! Rob

Moisturise your skin daily, I recommend Nivea For Men, it also has a very mild fragrance, so it doesn't smell too potent.
In addition, moisten your face with luke-warm water before you shave, and use a good quality razor and gel, for this, I recommend the Gilette Fusion Power, (the reverse blade is very useful too), and Gillete Gel with Aloe-Vera, which will soften your skin.
Be sure not to force the blade too hard on your face, just gently glide it along, you should also use a generous ammount of foamed up gel on your face when shaving.
I'm 23, and have skin a lot like yours, and I will shave around twice a week, this prevents my facial hair from getting too thick, which would make it irritable to shave, and also keeps me looking fresh and clean.
Hope I've been of help.

Hi,I have had a problem similar too yours.I find that if i don't put off shaving this helps.plenty of hotwater to open the pours,a good smooth shaving gel.take more time when shaving(Always new blade)rinse with cold water. And apply aftershave balms or preferrably moisture cream.if it dont work see your gp you may have a skin condition.
