I live in the United States as well, and I find the American accent to be very blah and lacking no flavor. Unless you are talking about a Southern accent, which sounds so melodic and calming to the ears.

Well, i am not an american and you people have a lot of different accents. There is the new york, new jersey, redneck and hillbilly, and the most annoying the white girl talk. To me your accents amuse me. I am spanish(Spain) and i laugh when i see all your accents on TV shows. So that is how you people sound to at least me.

There is no one american accent, it depends on the region you come from.
But overall most non-americans say the general american accent is very nasal-sounding.

There are a great many American accents. Most regions have their own patterns of speech and phonetic idiosyncrasies.
