HAHAHA...thank you Lobo's for taking that prick off of our hands up here in Iowa...it took us way to long to dump his ***. He is the most self-centered, egotistical, narcissictic, arogant jerk you could ever meet. He thinks he walks on water, and expects everyone to worship him. He will ask for everything for free, and treats anyone who doesn't bow down to him as dirt. Up here, he wouldn't even buy his insurance from a local agent cuz they couldn't afford to "cut him a deal" like they did back in his homeland of Indiana, and he was always asking for handouts and expecting favors. Class-act JERK! 50% of of his recruits washed out of school or ended up arrested, and he didn't bring in a single real talent even though he was still "the new golden boy of the big ten".

He'll spend more time fixing his hair than he will fixing your team! Enjoy the bastard!

He isn't a bad bench coach, but he's a HORRIBLE recruiter. According to Rivals.com, he's had ONE (that's right ONE) four star recruit while at Iowa and that was Tyler Smith (who originally intended to go to Tennessee). All the rest have been three or two star recruits.

I find it ironic that New Mexico got rid of McKay because he couldn't win any NCAA tournament games. And Alford has won.... ONE at Iowa in eight years. He's 1-3 in the NCAA tournament and 2-3 in the NIT tournament at Iowa.

Alford better be hoping that NM helps him since he's basically taking two steps down with the new position.
