hell yah. i remember a friend and i were at churches chicken and this girl working the register was the worst. she had a decent attitude...just a fricken airhead. it was about 11am and there was no other customers besides us 2. there was however, a little boy (maybe about 4-6 yars old) playing in the boothes. i assumed that was her kid (or one of the other workers) b/c the kid was the same ethnicity as she was and there was no one else there besides us.

anyways, i ordered first...my buddy ordered 2nd and got the same thing as i did. a few minutes later, a guy comes in and orders after us. minutes pass and he gets his order...a few more mimutes pass and my buddy gets his order while im still waiting on mine. i get frustrated and go up there and bring itto her attention.

she looks at me with a smile and says, 'u ordered?'

i didnt get mad...she was too stupid to get mad at. i just thought that her parents musta been doing crack when she was conceived....

Yep, that's why I go to sit-down restaurants. Bad tippers are running all the servers out of the cheaper ones, too, like Applebees, Chili's, etc and all the servers are going to 4 star restaurants instead.
Eventually the servers at these cheaper restaurants will be the same as fast food workers; Paid minimum wage to do a minimal job because all the good employees are at bigger and better places.

Believe it or not, McDonald's was even worst in past years. Before, if you ordered anything special order (e.g. Filet O Fish no cheese), they would give you the evil eye and try to talk you out of ordering special order. Now, they just take your order.

But I hear ya. In NYC McDonalds, an order for hot tea usually gets you coffee. I have also encountered painfully slow service. Once, they had to get change and I just ate my lunch at the counter. When they came back with the change (finally), I just took the change and gave them the used wrappers.

If you get crappy service, take a moment to call the store later and talk with the manager.

Yes I can't stand it! They aren't there to talk to the other coworkers or complain about their lives while they are suppose to be working. Thats what they have breaks for. They are getting paid so they should be acting like it. When they act slow and are careless I feel like they don't even care if their customers are happy or not. It's no good.

Oh my gosh! That is a BIG pet peeve with me! I mean, how hard is it to read a screen, make the food it says and give it to the customer?! It's not brain surgery guys! You say, extra pickles, you get no pickles...you say plain, they put everything on it. Just today, I went through McDonald's after taking my kids to the park and the MANAGER of the store was working the window and FORGOT to give me one of my bags! Then, my husband went through a little later and the same lady didn't give him his drinks! THIS WAS THE MANAGER!! OH...now I have to go lie down...lol
