My boyfriend and I have been together for quite some time, and we have been friends for at least 6 years. He is way older than me, and we are very much in love and very happy! We just found out we're pregnant, and we have decided that we're ready to tie the knot. When we go out, people stare! Why can't the public accept the fact that happiness and love are more important than age and looks? I'm 26, he is 53!

because people have preconceived notions that the younger one (usually female) is just a goldigger, and that the older one (usually male) is going through a mid-life crisis and trying to recapture his youth. They think he might have left a longtime spouse and children for the younger mate.

All invented in the mind without even knowing the people and situation that they are rudely staring at. Thank Hollywood for their "Fatal Attractions" and such.

If people stare, it's their damn problem. Live your lives, get married, have a family, build a happy life together. Best of luck to you, and tell all the others to cram it.

he is twice your age.. you may be happy now, but Will he be able to keep you happy in 10 years and more??? you can stay friends because it's a 6 year relationship but you should think about your future 2. I mean.. when you're 40 he wil be 80!!!! if you're OK with that then, go for it.. if not, just take your time thinking about it coz this is a very serious decision to make.. there's a child involved!!! if you feel that you can't go on with this person in the future you should end it now.. dont make the baby go through the trauma of divorce..

Congrats girl! Marry your man! Some people search high and low for the lov you have already found. Aaliyah wasn't lying in her song, Age ain't nothing but a number. you can't be worried about what people think. You love him? He love you? He treat you right? Well then **** the world!

well personally I would be looking to not because I think age is a limit on love but because I have never seen a girl make out with her father... usually people are just trying to figure out where you guys stand... like are you just helping him across the street and into another store. or is he your dad and you guys are spending some time together. people are just curious don't take it personal.
