Anyone have APD? (shyness and quietness) What medication or pills can you take to help and cure to overcome the disorder? Does the medication work? How does it work and how long does it take for a quiet person to be talkative and loud like a normal person?

No, medication is not generally helpful for personality disorders. The difficult part of working with clients who have a personality disorder is that they do not see their problem.

APD isn't about shyness and quietness. Both of those are extremely normal and common and should not be pathologized.

You will grow out of it. Don't start taking medications. Shyness is normal and sometimes rather charming. Be a good listener and the talking will come by itself. "Loud" is not normal.. it is usually annoying.

My dear , dear person. Cultures decide who is "disordered". This culture is shallow, sociopathic, highly dysfunctional, and generally disgusting. It loves extraversion and clonelike behavior. It is pathetic.

Be proud you don't "fit in " among the troglodytes who spend their lives babbling about nothing and feeding their already bloated bodies, egos and bank accounts, and have no connection whatever with their souls.

I'm older and more experienced, and i suggest that you are very normal for a sensitive, intelligent person. You're probably quite artistic and unique, and fall into a category peopled by a very small percentage of the human race.

I hope you can manage to get counseling by someone with some compassion and wisdom regarding what to do in your situation, who can also act as your advocate in this matter, before you are induced to become medicated.

I am appalled by the willingness and credulity of the many parents in this country who are easily giving in to the fascist agendas currently being foisted upon an all too willing populace, which agendas are designed to help very few and to control, by all means expedient, the very many.

This is definitely not a Golden Age. I wish you Best of Luck!!
