try the summer months, like June , July , Or August, when kids/parents are on vacation... good luck....

Watch for good weather. Then plan ahead, make & hang large readable signs. It's very hard to drive AND read tiny, jumbled writing. Spring is a good time to start. Know the time of sunrise and start then, people look for bargains in early am. Then - remember to take down the signs! It's very annoying when you drive around looking for a sale that's no longer there cause someone forgot to take down their sign(s).

If it is in a heated garage, anytime!
Otherwise, before school starts, and summer are the best.
