I notice there are teens who likes to do things purposely against their parents and or other adults which according adults those things are for their own good. why is that so?

teens are trying to figure out who they are and to learn things through their own experiences. i bet your teen has more values than you think they do. its all about testing their limits and the effect. they hear your advice, but they need to make the mistake themself

Teenagers are seeking to be independent and that shows us a sign that they're growing up. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Because early in life it's part of growing up to make mistakes and then learn from them. And what better time to learn from mistakes than during the teenage years? It's better to learn from mistakes as a teenager, than to grow older and make serious mistakes that can have a negative impact on the remainder of a persons adult life.

i guess most teenagers need a thrill. when parents are really strict towards their son or daughter, they feel this sort of animosity towards them like they want to defy. [not saying that all teenagers are like this] some teens do things to get back at their parents for being so strict. trust me, i was a teen, when my mom said no, i would just want to do it more! so maybe say yes one day, that normally kills their urge to want to do something against you.

Teens think that their parents are stupid and are trying to test their limits. Teens feel that it is their job to get the parents upset. It is called teenage rebellion.

For many reasons.
Some think it is fun to just be disobedient. To see how far they can push their parents. My brother is like that, it annoys me.
I go against my mother when I believe she is wrong. But mostly I go against my mum when she is trying to tell me how to live my life without actually letting me experience things for myself.

Becuz we think we know everything, but we don't. So we do wut we think we know...which is not right...lol!!!!!!!!!!! Most of the time :)
