There is actually a word for this and its normal...its called nesting, and I found this for you:
Did you "nest" before giving birth?
A common indicator that labor is just around the corner is the sudden emergence of the nesting instinct. If you're close to your due date and find yourself frantically cleaning out drawers and organizing cupboards, chances are labor will start within a few days

Wow! How exciting! She's nesting. This happened with my first baby and I had no clue. The night before she came I went out shopping like a madwoman and had my husband bring the cradle into our bedroom. The very next morning I went into labor. It's the wonderful power of being a female and bringing a life into the world. Congrats!

nesting, your baby will be born very soon congrats cleaning obsessively at the end of a pregnancy helps relieve stress in the mommy and will help ease the baby out just let her do what she needs to do,i know when i went through that i had to clean because i had visions of coming home to a messy house and it caused me great anxiety, but this last one my third he is now 5 months old i cleaned while i was having labour pains but my husband and two other kids were left to their own devices for four days and i came home to a wretched mess and i was SO pissed so a little bit of unsolicited advice while she is hospitalized keep the house clean believe me when i say you don't want to mess with a woman who just gave birth because she will make your life a living hell

It's a burst of energy right before birth. Her body is getting ready for the hard labor she will go through. With all 3 of my boys I had them within 3 days of the burst of energy. I have a couple of friends that were within a week of the burst of energy. It's a part of the nesting process.

The last day or two you get this energy burst, like you took speed or something! Its getting your wife ready for the fun labor she will have to indure for 15-30 hours. I cleaned the house everyday too, my hubby thought I was nuts!
lol
Congrats!!!!!!!

It's called nesting. I started this two weeks before my husband was born to "get ready." I'm not sure if this is instinct or knowing that I wouldn't have much time to clean as I would be with him so much. But, let her do her thing. She might gripe at you if you don't!

because shes in the last 24 hours before baby, you always get a last minute energy burst to get every thing done that you need to.
(I correct that you dont always but its very normal.)
I did twice, its so nice to come home to a clean house.

Some say that is a sign she is about to go into labor. It's like you get a sudden burst of energy right before labor starts.
