I live in a town house on a corner unit. My bedroom is right next to my neibours bedroom and they sleep all the time. I love bass but i need to make it so that it dosen't bother them. The wall is made out of cinderblocks which is cement blocks. There is drywall on top of that. My bedroom is 12 feet wide 15 feet long and 8 feet tall. The 15 foot wall is against my neighbours bedroom. All the other walls are normal studded walls. They tell me it is only the bass that is bothering them. Can someone please tell me a way that I can keep a lot of bass in my room but so that it dosen't bother them at all? Thank-you.

there are a few options. they all involve getting a contractor to come in and decide which form of insulation would work for you. If you cant do this then you A) move or B) wear ear phones. Its nice that you are trying to be considerate of your neighbors but they have my sympathy.

i actually used to get told that egg cartons are meant to do the trick, cause of the way they're shaped the sound just echoes back. although i don't really think you wanna line walls with egg cartons, would look kinda funny let alone all the eggs you'd have to go through first. Good Luck : )

Use the stuff they line the walls with at the Psychiatric ward. The cushion stuff that keeps the patients safe, it keeps the noise down to, and make sure it's fire resistant .
