get a big, heavy and sharp chisel on a long shaft... First chop off most (if not all) the branches just leaving a 2-4 foot stump for leverage. Next dig out about 2 feet from the stump using the chisel to cut roots as you go. Continue around in a circular fashion going a bit deeper every time. When the stump begins to wiggle have a help pull it one direction while you hack the lower roots with the chisel from the other direction.

Doing this now and you can start my racking then get you some handyman gloves and wait til the Sun goes down then just begin to pull grass/weeds up.

firstly trim the bush so it's easy to handle. then dig around the plant to losen the soil. then start to pull out the plant, you may need to dig aorund a bit more but it will come.

If you have room then you can do it with a pick-up truck and a toll rope, That is a bush and not a tree. lol
