Well, when trying to get pregnant, there is a very small window each month in which to do so...if you are really wanting to get pregnant and are getting discouraged, I would try getting a basal thermometer...this will tell you when the time is right for "fertility"...when you are ovulating...good luck!

Hi! I have read a great book you might want to read, it's called "The Everything Getting Pregnant Book." No kidding, it was a huge help to my husband and I. This book will give you every piece of information you might need on getting pregnant. Since you are trying to get pregnant, I am guessing you've had your regular OB/Gyn appointment within the last year. Sometimes, having sex to often is the biggest mistake. Sounds odd, but it's true. If you know when you are ovulating, you will have a greater chance of success. I would check out the book, and if you haven't had your OB/Gyn appointment, go. Mention to your doctor that you've been trying and nothing has happened. Best of luck!!

Your doctor will know how to start you on the program to determine just when you are ovulating. (You'll have to check your temperature and he may have to scan your ovaries to determine how many you have) .That's the biggest set back in most couples when they are trying to conceive. We, as women don't always recognize the onset of that little egg when it erupts from the ovaries and the timing has to be exact for pregnancy to take place. I have been told by several physicians that a woman only has one time a month that she can actually 'conceive' and you have to know the highest point of your body temp, for the sperm to meet that egg at just the right place and time for conception to take place. Mother Nature really has this thing down to a science and we are still trying to figure it out. Finally, when you have gone through the tests, your husband/partner will be subjected. Most men don't like to be tested because to them, it's embarrassing- they have to provide sperm within minutes of ejaculation - which means, they have to do it there, in a little room, with a cup. The majority of them are ok, but having been through this process with a friend of mine - we discovered that he was only emititing 3000 sperm - and the doctor told him - he needed 1million! Per.

My partner and I tried for over a year to conceive! The first month that we just forgot about it and didn't attempt to try at all, we had sex once in the whole month...and we are pregnant. If your partner isn't willing to go you should see a doctor just to reassure yourself and ease some anxiety! I think the only thing i did different was i usually get up after sex and get a drink or get dressed or whatever..and everything would come leaking out but instead i just went to sleep right after!

Hello! As a rule of thumb, if you are under 35 & you've been ttc for a year or over 35 & ttc for over 6 mts and you haven't been able to conceive naturally you should seek medical advise. Here are some links for you to review. I hope that it is of help to you. Good luck and baby dust to you.
Best wishes,
Gigi

One year is what the Dr's recommend - you should see a fertility specialist now - there may be nothing wrong but they will test and make sure.

If you've been trying for a year, I would head to the doctors to make sure both yours and your husband's systems are okay.
