For instance there is a band called INSANE CLOWN POSSEE, a young man decided that one day he was to go get a shotgun and shoot every single member of his family in the head except for his father who was out of the house, the young man shot his mother, 2 younger brothers and the family animal afterward going upstairs to shoot himself. The father and many other people blame it on the music he listened to and thats what made him so depressed, but did the music tell him to do it or was something else behind the depression he supposedly had? Can music really tell you to pick a shotgun up and kill your family?

People have to take responsibility for their own actions. If you live next door to a bakery, that is no excuse for being fat.

I think in some instances, a person has so little else to occupy his time that he can become obsessed with something he hears or sees, and then acts on it. But these are rare instances. Someone that psychotic would probably have found the excuse elsewhere to shoot his family. Maybe he would have read a gruesome book.

Music has degenerated so much. I am more acutely aware of this now that I am living in Europe, because a lot of the music I hear here is what we call "Eurotrash". The amount of music thievery is astounding. I don't know how they are evading copyright issues, but in my gym, I hear the first few notes of a song, recognize it, and then am shocked to find out that someone else just copied (stole) it.

Rappers are the worse. They have so little musical talent that they have to "sample" everyone else's work.

What ever happened to uplifting music? Why is it that doom and gloom is inevitably considered sophisticated, while any upbeat songs are denounced as lightweight pop? Imagine some hip hop vocalist or rapper singing a song like this from John Denver:

In searching for the way to go
I've followed all the rules
The way they say to choose between
The wise men and the fools

I listen to the words they say
I read what I should read
I do whatever's right to do
Try to be what I should be

Someone let me in I think the sky is falling
Seems I've gotten lost on my way
All I want to do is try and find myself
Come and let me look in your eyes

Ah, but wisdom isn't underground
Nor on a mountainside
And where am I to take myself
There's no place here to hide

All across the universe the stars are fading
Seems we've gotten lost on our way
All I want to do is try and find myself
Come and let me look in your eyes

I am not a fan of most music today and rock certainly isnt my scene but I think the same thing can be said about all music. Its not the music artist responsibility to determine what is good for America's youth its the responsibilty of the parents. The story you told is sad and my condolences go to the family but that boy may have a mental problem and its the parents responsibility to recognize that behavoir and do something to help him. No music cant tell someone to pick up a gun and kill someone. If music could tell someone what to do, why isnt their world peace. "Whats going on" by Marvin Gaye is a postive song and people didnt stop having wars and violence because of it.

I think they are disgusting. I have listened to rock since 1964 when I watched the Beatles on TV. When I was 11, 12, 13, I listened to rock and half the time I had no idea that parts were talking about sex. I didn't have a clue what their music was saying I just liked the music. My friends , when we played with our Barbie Dolls pretended all our dolls were dating the Beatles. So I think certain ages don't even listen to the words, teenagers 14, 15, and above probably analyze the lyrics.

I have always believed that almost all quality rock is a bad influence. When I was a kid I loved The Doors and they were a bad influence. So was Janis Joplin. Bob Dylan. MickJagger. Iggy Pop. Souxie and the Banshees. All bad people, bad values, bad lifestyles, wouldn't have liked them, etc. If you know anything about these people it's enough to either go 1)let's go back to barbershop quartets,or 2) were the guys in barbershop quartets as bad as this? (They probably were,or worse). Let's face it,serious musicians are a bad lot. So are the rest, for that matter.

The simplest factor Satanic is censorship. There are a few Christian denominations that truthfully suppose that any song (rather than the human voice) is from the Devil (as Lucifer used to be the leader musician). I had certainly one of them inform me that church buildings that experience drums, keyboards and guitars have been "making a song their technique to Hell..." humorous - they used scripture to compellingly again all of it up. I wager it is dependent upon what you desire the scriptures to mention approximately it. But- for the reason that you requested: Nirvana - the lead singer dedicated suicide and his spouse has satanic rituals in which she has intercourse with the Devil. The Killers - are all ex-felons - who received off on a more than one homicide cost. To nowadays, such a lot suppose that they're fairly ALL killers. My Chemical Romance: They suppose that each one kids must take delivery of heroin on the age of 13, so they may be able to enjoy objectivity. They even have positioned subliminal homosexual messages of their song to psychologically control the listener into needing to committ homosexual acts. COLDPLAY: Perhaps probably the most infamous band available in the market. Named after a forensics time period in which the killer continues the frame of it is sufferer in a fridge after which feeds it to unsuspecting visitors. Coldplay are all avowed satanists and cannibals. EMINEM: An severe white racist, who has a conspicuous tattoo on his neck that simplest racists who've killed a black man or woman could have. So you, as a White Christian, must be OK with him. THE CURE: The therapy is a Christian band, whose identify is derived from the proposal that Jesus is the "therapy" for all. Jay-Z: Christian Rufus Wainwright: Satanist Bjork: Is neither a Christian nor a Satanist - which makes her an alien... Really, she tells folks that she is from an additional galaxy. Polyphonic Spree: Gay, homosexual, homosexual, gaaaaaaaay! The Rolling Stones: The proven fact that you have not heard of the Rolling Stones indicates that your son demands to flee your controlling and sheltered grip. There's this factor known as schooling - finding out - exploration - interest - invention - individuality...... am I commencing to arrive? No? is there anyth.... no? sigh! Thank God for genetic de-decision.

No , I would blame it on lowering morals and lack of family togetherness . These same people would do the same thing if the were listening to boy george . ( they would probably put on a dress and make up first , LOL )
