No, but when I worked as a cashier we'd glue a dime and a nickel down to the counter so it'd look like someone dropped their change. People would try to pick them up, then realize trhey'd been had, and they all tried to look "innocent". It was hilarious.

I have one better. My car broke down and a gas station was fixing it. By the coke machine, they had drilled a hole in the concrete the size of a 50 cent piece. They then super glued the coin into the hole. It was just a bit below the surface of the concrete.

Now the gas station was next to a big development of retirees. Mostly people in cadillacs. Many from New York. Many jewish.

I sat there for about 3 hours watching 80 year old men on their hands and knees, trying to pry that coin out of the concrete with their auto keys. Many times ruining the auto keys, of which cost $85 to replace because they have a computer chip inside of them.

That was amazing and funny.

I did get praised once for just telling the shop owner that someone had dropped a quarter. I was standing right next to him and just happened to look down. He said I was the first person in his barber shop that didn't try to stick it in their own pocket. I guess I felt kinda proud, those are things that you do without even thinking about it.

No, but my husband glued a nickel to his work bench at the dealership, and he
went out for a coffee and when he came back---it was gone. They dug up his
bench, but they got the nickel. Now isn't that petty thievery?

No, but a store in my town did that with a quarter. It's right in the entrance way, so it stops people coming and going trying to pick it up. It's wickedly funny!
