When I was young, about 3 miles away there was a railroad. At night, because we had no airconditioning, I would lie in bed and hear the distant clack-clack of the train as it slowly drove through our town. I found it very neat to listen to, but I do not know why. When I turned 18, moved out, got married, and now live very far away from any railroad. I miss the sound...

Waves coming into the shore at the ocean.

My cats meowing and purring.

Really fine music, like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, or Dire Straits.

Church choirs. The ones that sound like a bunch of men singing something in another language with deep voices. Hard to explain, but yeah... that, violins and the ocean.
