It's not because of ethnicity. It's because of human nature. Conceit is one of man's innate shortcomings.

No , but there are definitely people in the minority's that use that fact to be more conceited because they can scream racism when things get bad .
It makes it harder on the average hard working person of that ethnic group to be taken seriously .

If I understand what you mean correctly, I've heard other people comment on this, too. I'm half Asian and a lot of Caucasians I know think that Asians have too much "Asian Pride". Personally, I don't think that it's a big deal.
Because the amount of discrimination is decreasing in a lot of instances, pride is becoming more common and is almost like a defense mechanism against the still existing disadvantages that many minorities encounter.
