You have to be one of the ten or so richest people on earth. It could be a fun fantasy, but it ain't gonna happen. Getting laid is tricky enough, but much more practical, and it will help you forget about spacecraft for a while.

Good luck!

Well, the only person who's ever done that (building a private manned spacecraft) is Bert Rutan--builder of the "Spaceship One" suborbital spacecraft. He got a degree in aerospace engineering, and has spent the last 25+ years heading "Scaled Composites, Inc," designing and building all kinds of advanced specialty air/spacecraft. BTW--he's also become a multi-millionaire in the process--which helps.

If you saw "The Astronaut farmer" (not a very good movie) the one part, the first launch? where the rocket goes sliding across the ground at about 3000 miles an hour? Not that's some funny ****!

You don't want to be building your own spaceship, farmer.

that is not any longer unlawful to construct a spacecraft except you propose to contain risky or controlled factors. on account that your plan is to weld at the same time junk vehicles, I doubt you should undertaking approximately that. and that i doubt that is going to be triumphant, which finally ends up interior the subsequent ingredient. it is unlawful to fly something above a undeniable altitude interior the controlled airspace of any usa without the right license and enable. that contains spacecraft. landing in an ocean interior a usa's territorial waters without suitable safing your spacecraft in many situations leads to a contravention of that usa's environmental rules. Launching from international waters via international airspace is way less formalized, yet nevertheless demands coordination with international air transport and international maritime agencies that regulate commerce on the extreme seas. in case you should intervene with international maritime or air site visitors, you would be to blame decrease than international regulation for damages. you're no longer specific approximately what "rocket gas" you have countless get right of entry to to. many people can get carry of compounds that should gas a rocket. in spite of if, in maximum international locations possession, manufacture, and transport of those factors in sufficient parts for an area flight is regulated via regulation and demands facilitates and certificates for coping with. Compounds particularly made as rocket gas (as unfavourable to trouble-free factors consisting of alcohol that should be used as gas) are heavily regulated. in brief, no longer something prevents you from welding at the same time a set of vehicles and calling it a spacecraft. yet as quickly as you attempt to make it behave like a spacecraft, you run afoul of regulation.

Build a sealed environment with necessary life support such as control of O2/CO2, temperature, etc. Attach (generally chemical) boosters. Blast off.

(Mechanisms for reentry optional.)

Start by acquiring several hundred million dollars. You cannot do this as a garage project; it requires special materials and high tech fabrication methods.
