Yes!!!! I have to wear them, and they're not bad at first....but as the day goes on.....you feel lead footed. Some brands are better than others as far as comfort goes, though. Stay far away from the cheapo ones......they'll kill ya. Doc Martens feel pretty good....expensive though, but they have that airshock sole. I recommend them.

Not really. The few ounces they add don't really make them feel heavier. However, you do fee the difference when you walk (the toes don't give). I wouldn't recommend for serious hiking.

When you're involved in something, you don't really notice (until something heavy falls on your toe-then you're damn glad you wore them!)
If you're just dubbing around though, yeah you feel it.
