I'm a high level gymnast and I'm not small (5'6" and 120lbs). I think smaller gymnasts don't have it any easier than "big" ones. Many peple think they can't do gymnastics or that it will be very hard from them because they're tall and thats not true. Some studies show that gymnastics stunts our growth, but that did not happen to me. I learned most of my gymnastics before puberty and I'm very tall. So please do no think that all gymnasts are small or are at an advantge by being small.

If you are talking about height, there have been studies showing that gymnasts tend to be smaller and have stunted growth because the age most learn stunts and gymnastics is puberty or before, when you are still growing. The stunts you do and the hits you take stunt your growth.

If about their size, the same thing. We train harder than most sports. The workouts we do and how much muscle we have eliminates all the fat. We have healthy diets and exercises so we are fit and in shape.

Being short is really a help, you have more room on the floor and on other apparatuses, and you can get tighter in flips.
