Oh yeah most definately! When i found out i was pregnant (unplanned.... birth control malfunction!) i cried a river!! I was so upset thinking about how my life would change, how it would affect my career, what it would mean for me in general etc. I was absolutely devestated. On the other hand my fiance was absolutely thrilled and couldn't stop smiling even though i was crying.... i hated him for a moment there... couldn't believe he was so happy about something that was going to ruin all my plans (those were my thoughts at the time).

I know it sounds horrible to have had such a reaction - but lots of people do. Not everyone is happy when they get pregnant.

But, after much thinking and examining and soul searching i just knew i HAD to have my baby - not because anyone was pressuring me too but because after the first few days, although i wasn't exactly thrilled, i had still started to think of it as "my baby". And i realised that everything would work out career wise etc, and i realised nothing was more important than "my baby".

I'm 37wks pregnant today and look back at my initital reaction with some guilt. I love this child so much now, i would do anything in the world for this baby.

Some trepidation/confusion etc is normal when you first find out. Don't think it makes you a bad person because it doesn't... it makes you human.

Good luck to you.

It is very possible that you are 'going a little crazy' right now. You may feel you are not ready, the costs, the responsibility, etc. You don't say how old you are, but I didn't freak out. Well, I did, but it was a good one. I had been told for 20 years that I would probably never have children. Imagine my surprise at age 33 to be told that I was with child. I was elated. I was thrilled. I was blessed. When your hormones calm down and you can start to think again - you'll find your way through this. I pray that you are not alone and that your partner/husband will be a source of energy, excitement and pleasure to have around.

I did a little because my pregnancy was very much unplanned and I was hoping to be better off financially before I had any kids. but then I heard the heart beat for the first time and felt the baby move and found out that I am having a girl and all of the worry about what I wanted for me and the worry that my life was over melted away. I still freak out and worry from time to time just because I want the best for my baby. Life isn't over it is just taking a new and maybe unexpeted direction.

I always told myself that I would be happy when I found out that I was pregnant. I couldn't imagine not being happy and then having the baby knowing that my first thoughts of it were that I didn't want it in the first place.
I know that if it's not planned then it can be a little scary especially if it wasn't planned, but sometimes even if it is, it does hit you when all your friends are going out and you're not. No matter what you second guess it at some point!

haha yeah it still freaks me out ever now and again, even tho im so happy about it. It's strange i know but it is normal.. Most women experience this and it should all be fine! Just sometimes out of the blue i'll think to myself " oh my God i'm gonna have this child and i will be responsible for him forever!" It's a crazy thought but i know it will be the greatest experience ever and i want him more than anything. It helps me to think on the reverse side and think about if i wasnt pregnant how sad would I be :)

Yes very much so! The whole time that I was pregnant! But hey let me tell you something. There is nothing like having your newborn placed in your arms! It will be overwhelming at first from being so tired, but once you start warming up to your child they are so much fun to watch learn and see the world around you. If you are still having feelings like this after you have your baby talk to your doctor. They can help.

My best friend just had a baby shes 18 and was scared of out her mind. when she had her little girl it changed her so much she now feels as though she has a reason to live and its for her baby.

Im sure everyone did that at least once, even if it was just for a second...its a huge adjustment and the biggest change in your life....its okay to be freaked out. Just know that pretty soon you are going to be so in love that you will wonder what you ever worried about!
