I am considering buying a 2005 Chrysler crossfire limited coupe. I was wondering if anyone has any extra info for me. I know the oil changes and tires can be pricey, but what about other maintenance or repairs?? Reliability, etc ?? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

I own a 05 limited roadster, bought it new. As you have heard it is on a SLK320 chassis, drive train and motor. The Mercedes 320 is the workhorse engine they use the most of. The oil change every 7500 miles around 85 bucks at dealer using mobile 1, the car holds 8.5 quarts. I recently had mine changed at 7200 miles the service manager at the dealership tried to get me to change it at 10000 miles. Since I personally don't drive the car much I wanted the oil changed once a year. I had the tires rotated-the only way to do this is a side to side- 18 in the front 19 in rear -. Oil change, tire rotate 119 bucks. I haven't priced the rubber yet, can't help. This car is great. Has all the suspension technologies that is in the higher priced Mercedes. I personally do not like the coupes. But this car will turn heads-they only make or did make around 20,000 per year-so you only see them at a glance. I have not had any problems with this car. Enjoy- Cons-drink holder only one and is kindof in the way/ turn signal cruise control are close
pros- at 120mph is fast enough -the ride remains smooth-150 top speed
Hope this helped.
