I do drugs and I'm not going to lie. I'm not proud of it and they have caused MANY problems in my life. However, most of my friends smoke pot which I don't do anymore and they manage to be productive citizens and are actually much easier to be around than people who drink. So, I think marajuana should be legal to possess in small quantities for adults only of course. I don't think other drugs should be legal but the penalities shouldn't be so severe for simple possession. They should quit sending so many addicts to jail or prison 'cause all it does is give them some time out and then they're back at it. Our country needs to be harder on the dealers instead that prey on people who are looking for something to take the pain and problems away in their lives. They (meaning the government and legal system) need to send more addicts to rehab, rehabs that are nice with kind staff and pleasant atmospheres that don't look like prison so addicts can learn to LIKE being sober.

So let potheads get "a small amount." A lot of small amounts add up to a large amount. Cigarrettes will not distort your senses, pot will.

I agree that jail is not the place for drug addicts, drug dealers definitely. I would love if pot were legalized, but the only problem would be the same dumb parents that buy their kids alcohol would buy their kids pot and I don't think pot should be given to kids who are not grown enough to make smart decisions. I am very different now at 30 than I was at 18. Maybe if they decriminalize it a lot than that would make things better. My husband and I and quite a few friends still smoke it and we live completely normal lives. We have kids (never around them), we hold down jobs and we have a good life. Our only down side is our short term memory is a little off. I think pot is tamer than alcohol. I do believe for certain personalities it can lead to other drugs.

Mobs and gangs can't make any money out of them if they're legalized, but more people would start doing drugs.
Most people that does tabacco dies at around 50s or even 30s. Marijuanas or coccain would kill them even faster.
You can't really think clearly when you're in drugs. Therefore, there would be more crimes(like murder and etc.), more car accidents, etc.
None of the drugs should be legalized. Who ever say that it should is only speaking for them selves. If you're thinking about other people, especially kids, you wouldn't be saying that.
Most kids can't make the right decision.

Depends on how it's written.

I would hate for drugs to be legal, and people not held responsible for what they do under their influence. I see this as nearly inevitable with all these liberals around who would set a pedophile free if he told a sad story about his youth.

I do not do drugs. I think they should all be legalized because if they are legal then the mobs and gangs cannot make money on them.
