Citroen,Renault, and Peugeot all were sold in the USA but the sales were less than stellar.Bad US dealer support for service of the cars was also a factor in the automakers pulling out of the US market, same as the Italian cars-Fiat,Lancia,and Alfa Romeo, the dealers were terrible.

Don't they drive on the ther side of the road? If so, the steering wheel would be on the wrong side in America.
Either way, the most common european cars are all small compacts which don't sell particularly well in America. American auto makers also advertise so much any French made cars wouldn't sell well.

French cars are great ,
I don't seem to remember seeing any american cars where ever i have been around the world.
I presume if your people started buying french cars , who would buy your huge polluting petrol guzzlers.
Maybe that's the reason they don't sell or give them the chance.

I have no idea, they are sold in Britain. I can't say I see many American cars driven in Britain, either.
Also, "i'm.in.college.so.i.know.s", the French drive on the same side of the road as the Americans.

You do, just not many of them. The Citroen, for instance, is a French car.

Same reason many other cars are not sold here - Product liability suits & and a competitive market of competing brands ..

Compared to American or Japanese cars, they are a waste of money. EXPENSIVE to service and repair. It didn't take us long to figure that one out.
