Its just a term of endearment...she probably calls her kids the same thing. I think its probably just means she feels motherly towards you.

She is fond of you as a person because you (probably) are the youngest one around. Be a gentleman and don't spread your suspicious question elsewhere, especially in your working place, you'll unnecessarily hurt your manager and yourself.

It's a harmless way of saying that she's fond of you....as a "FRIEND", if she was being creepy, she would call you more than pumpkin!!! Don't freak over it, relax, IF that's all she's called you.

It;s just a word that you call someone that is like your brother or son or daughter,It's like sweetie or sugar it;s nothing to stress about.you probably remind her of her kids 'and i bet she call them that too.i always call kids sweetie or honey ;but my son which is 10 freaks out\ so now i;ll just call them hon.LOL
