Shield: granite, formed during the last ice age when it was scraped by glaciers around . Kind of radiates around Hudson Bay from PEI to the St Lawrence, great Lakes and Lake Winnepeg. The shield might be a few thousand years old, but the rocks are real old, like a billion years ..
