I love the answers to this question, it really exposes liberals for how ridiculous they are. Talk about "blame America first"! How sad.

In the first place imposing your ideas is called freedom of speech. I don't see anything wrong with voicing one's opinion. What is wrong is when you try to make it a one sided debate by silencing anyone with an opinion different than your own by writing up so called "hate speech" legislation to censor Americans. What is also wrong is dominating the media with lies and propoganda to force public opinion to go in a certain direction. I can respect a Liberal's opinion even though I often vehemently disagree with them. However, when anyone starts fooling with constutuional rights and doing things that are destructive to the USA I feel that it is my duty to defend those rights against all enemies both foreign and domestic. That was the oath that I and many others took when we joined the military. The first resort I see in that duty is peaceful. We must spread the word and vote our conscience. I urge all of you to do that whether you agree with my opinions or not. Understand that they are writing the dirge for the USA even as I write this. All the while most of you are arguing over how terrible Bush is or bickering over Iraq. Maybe you are complaining about Clinton or you're worried about global warming. Don't you realize that it is just a smoke screen. All these politicians are in bed together. It is just a front to get you thinking that they are at each others throats so you won't realize what is really going on. Soon the USA will becom part of the newly formed North American Union. Then the US will lose its soveriegnty and the constitution will be meaningless. The dollar will no longer exist. This country will no longer be recognized. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Is that a liberal sitting in the White House? Surrounded by other liberals? Are those liberal imposing their will on the rest of us? How in the world did we get into Iraq? Why can we not get out? Why is the deficit the worst it has ever been? It's because of those dang liberals in the WH and in the Congress before this past January, that's why. Think about what you asked, and then look at the country's condition.

True liberalism is based in allowing individual people as much choice as is workable for a society.
It also allows for individuals to not take advantage of what is available.
We're not going to force you to marry someone outside your religion or ethnicity, or have an abortion, or whatever.
We will simply not allow you to tell others that they cannot, or legislate restrictions to impose your personal, chosen limitations onto others.
As an example, I have no problem with the Amish choosing to dress VERY conservatively or having the particular beliefs that they do about women's roles and men's roles. I'm not about to tell them that they *have to* wear what's on the cover of Vogue magazine, or cut their beards, or have television or...well, anything else.
On the other hand, I'm not about to let the Amish, or any other group, impose their chosen, voluntary restrictions onto our American society as a whole.
You can choose to home school your kids so that they only learn what you want them to know...you can choose to belong to a religious body that segregates men and women...you can choose to never us contraceptives....in other word,s you can choose not to take advantage of some of the freedoms that are allowed by American society.
But you cannot go into another church and tell them that they have to seat men and women separately, you cannot tell other parents that they *have to* teach their kids "Intelligent Design", you cannot tell other people that they cannot use contraceptives, you cannot bring back the Miscegenation Laws...
These things are in the area of our personal choice, and our private lives...

I know it. It is a shame that all those liberals on Fox News are able to sway public opinion the way they do. Networks like Fox are nothing more than talking heads for the communists who are hiding behind every bedpost. What has gone wrong with this country? Why can't anyone do anything? Thank God we conservatives don't try to impose our views.

Both sides do that. Liberals and Conservatives.
The REAL question is which set of thoughts and beliefs are better for Americans.
It goes back to the fact that Republicans support the wealthy and Democrats support everyone else.

Because as Andy Rooney once pointed out, Republicans seem to believe that people are basically good and if left to themselves will probably be all right. On the other hand, Democrats seem to believe that people are basically bad, but if controlled enough will probably be all right.

Same as why do Repcons always inflict theirs? I'd rather listen to a Liberal as they are trying to improve & repair the countries reputation around th world. To the international community the USA is an embarrassment. If that doesn't bother you then it really ought to.

Most "liberals" believe in choice. What's the problem, conflict with your "moral" beliefs?
