I don't mean to sound snobbish if i'm comming off that way but, I haven't been to any acting camps that teach anything but stage directions. Please Help!

If you want anything on acting for film, I know the New York Film Academy is hosting a bunch of workshops in America and Britain.

Not knowing what acting camps you've been to, It's hard to know what to think about them. It's very possible that you will get recommendations to one or more of these same camps you've already been to, because of the tremendous good someone else has gotten out of them. You may have simply have been too advanced for their curriculums. Are you quite sure they didn't teach anything? Or did you simply not learn anything? There is a difference.

Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwid CA is the hands-down BEST theatre camp that there is. I went last summer to the TheaterWorks! program, and I have never had so much fun. It is very professional and you do shows at the end of each week. I would at least check out the website-- you will LOVE it!

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts has a very intensive summer program. I do believe they have one in New York and California. I attended the one formerly in Pasadena, CA. It was for 8 weeks, about $860.00 at that time.Also, South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa,CA has a reputable program,too. I've taken classes at South Coast rep,but not the summer program.
