every people in Italia are white. Latin is pure white. American people thinking Latin is not white is like We don't think American people are white because American is not Latin bot germanic. in Argentina, almost 90percent people are white and rest is mestizo, because most of people in argentina are pure Italian and spanish decendant. I saw a lot of question here saying Italian is not white in US bot italian. why is that? American is not white bot, American? It's nonsense.

I think that you americans are one of the most racist population in this world and also one of the most ignorant (i read in some answers that italy was conquered by Moors, but it's totally false)

I think it is because white americans think of latins as being mixed with darker natives but does it really matter.

ok I take place to consider you in this one. i think of they're racist because of fact they hate being who they're. Blacks are an identical way. i've got observed that some somewhat darkish blacks manage black human beings worse than some white racist.

My dear friend, Italian come from a part of the world where you do not define yourself as white or black ... there is more to life than this and they know it.
In any case, they get tanned as soon as they can, because they are solar people and they like the light.

They're darker than most people from Northern Europe, where most Americans of non-Native ancestry come from originally. In fact, I've met many Italians darker than I am, and I'm Native American (by your classification, mestiza would fit as I'm half Cherokee, half Irish.) It's no surprise they aren't called white by a lot of people. I consider them Latino, just like Spanish folks.
To answer your last question, yes, it usually means Germanic, Celtic or Scandinavian here.
