Anyone had experience with warping? I currently have a drywall ceiling in the garage, up to the door opening motor. The edge along one wall appears to have warped and has disconnected from the wood framing. Can it be fixed, or does it require replacement?

You have to rip it out, and replace it, or cover it with a thin sheet of siding.
It either got wet, or it was too thin, try the thickest piece you can get.

That usually indicates water damage. Find a good spot and poke a hole through the drywalll and inspect the gypsum for evidence of water. It it's dry, then the most likely reason for the drywal to have fallen is that the original fasteners (nails or screws) were driven too far into the surface, breaking clear through the paper instead of just dimpling it, and thus reducing the ability of the drywall sheet to support it's own weight.

If you find water damage, the first step is to correct the leak.

In any case, the easiest solution for the drywall is to replace the sheet.

You either have too much moisture that is allowing the drywall to warp or droop or you have too thin drywall spanning too far. You can put more screws in the existing drywall to tighten it up to the ceiling but it may not hold if it is too thin. Rule of thumb is rafters 24" apart use 5/8" drywall. Rafters 16" apart us 1/2" drywall. If the drywall is too thin then you may need to replace it or live with the sagging.

Just run 5-10 drywall screws in, unless the drywall is moist this will hold it for some time. If the drywall is moist then you had better stop the water, then replace the drywall.

It sounds like water or humidity. if you have a leak fix it before you repair your drywall. If not put some vent in your garage on both ends. If it's just a small section that is ruined, just chalk a strait line and cut it out and replace with new.

You can either replace the entire 4x8 sheet, which is much easier to do than cutting out the damaged part and replacing only that
