Yes, I went, then left early because the band sucked too. We cut out early and went and hit the local dance bar. I had a fake id then and had a better time there than I would have at my prom.

I dropped out of school maybe 6 mo. before graduation, this was in 1977, I did go back to school in 1998 to get my diploma took me two years & I graduated in 2000, then got married a few mo. later......as for the prom, no, there was no prom the 2nd time around.

Yes, I liked my senior prom.
I also went to a couple others throughout my high school years and my senior prom was the best.

No, I wanted nothing to do with dancing and I've never handled myself well in crowds.
I'm better with crowds now, but back then I would have major panic attacks when in the middle of one, at times wishing for a baseball bat or machete to materialize in my hands.

I had the most awful experience. These girls conspired and got my date to go with one of their group instead. I was too hurt to go with anyone else and humiliated as well. Talk about a cruel bunch of jerks. Mine sucked too.
