there is a law that says it is illegal to shake a vending machine, does anyone know what state it is from?

none that I know of but, I think some states passed a law saying to mount the machine to the wall since they had 44+ (1998 statistic) people die from the units falling on them.

Most states have some kind of law about trying to steal from a vending machine.

I don't believe shaking the machine in and of itself is illegal, but trying to steal from the machine is whether it's by shaking or otherwise.

This can be used to steal from the vendor, can result in damage to property, and has resulted in machines falling on the person doing it, killing at least one person that I know of.

It's not nearly as funny as the law against removing tags from pillows.

I shake them all the time, it could be condsidered criminal vandalism.
