you have had a really depressing day and feel you need a song thats just as sad or heartfelt?

Preferably something sung by a woman from the POP era but others are okay too.

I just need something new to listen to and it's been a horrible weekend.

Box of rain by the Grateful Dead, it picks me up- then again, all music driven by strong lyrics will empower me.
For female artists, I really like Cassandra Wilson, she's amazing. Don't know if this help you though.

the Cranberries, even if I'm happy listening to them makes me sad. It's perfect music to feel sorry for oneself with.

i like to listen to 'wasted' by carrie underwood or 'irreplacable' by beyonce... but thats usually because im having a bad fight with my husband and he makes me want to cry
