go to tools on the browser menu bar select options then delete files.

In IE go to tools > internet options > general tab > temp internet files. Click the buttons in this area and clear each on. Then clear the site history below (still in the general tab).

Tools>INternet Options>Delete Cookies, and Temporary Internet files.

To do a more secure job download a free cleaner such as CCleaner.

well first of all, u go to tools, then u go down to internet options, click on it and it says delete history, cookies, and temporary internet files. just click delete for all 3.

ok you want to delete your history right well go on the internet then go to the history icon the click clear history. or you can select places 1 by 1 and delete them.

Well, You can use any of the above methods but I prefer to use an application to do it for me... There is a great program called "Crap Cleaner" - CCleaner...

It also supports cleaning the other history such as Windows Media Player, Recently Opened Documents etc...

All the above answers are great - as far as everyday cleaning without worry I use a program called Window Washer. It is reasonably priced at around 30 and it is terribly easy to use.
