Usually people who really scream and cuss and stuff like that is just because of their experiences. Remember it is the people writing the music's feelings. They don't just decide to scream. It's how they feel. And it lets out anger and makes you fell tons better. Try it.

They don't really care about the cussing, it's just in there. For the screaming, because it goes along with the type of music that they scream in.

Oh my god man, really, think about this for a second. In ACTUAL music terms, not screamo/emo/mainstream bubblegum crap!
If a musician wants to put enphasis on something, he's going to curse or scream. What would you do if, for example, your wife/girlfriend/whatever cheated on you? Calmly say, "Oh, okay..." NO! You're going to put some emotion into it and probably curse and or scream. It's all part of emotion, which is... Music.

I like music that screams, but not music swears constantly...theres a difference...it's just a part of taste...i personally wonder how people can like country, but it all goes down to taste...what sounds bad to us, may be treasured by another...

I don't care for bands who curse like there's no tomorrow, but I do however like "Screamo", it's just another form of music, and expressing yourself. I don't undrstand how people can listen to rap, but it's just a matter of choice.

It releases anger. And, studies show that listening to heavy metal is actually GOOD for smart students in high schools and in colleges. They say it helps the relax and release stress. that is some bull sh*t.
