If you could be king/queen of your own planet, what would your planet be like?

But please be serious. Explain what the people would look like and what you palace would look like. As well as rules and if you would allow trading around the solar system. Oh yea, and what money would look like and a special item that your planet likes.

And there has to be at leat 1 downside to your planet. Mine would be uhhhh.... actully I havent thought of my downside yet.

Well, your description tells me I'll have to think of a distant future. In that case, the society in my planet would be full of high technology, science would have reached even the most closed minded individuals in the planet. As for fashion, I don't have an idea, but I expect, from my perception of present fashion on the Earth, that women's clothing become sexier and sexier every time.
In a monarchic political system rules would be set by me, of course, then I would "suggest" that capitalism becomes the worldwide accepted economical scheme, therefor trading around the solar system would not only be allowed, but demanded. Hopefully my people would have learned that wars are useless, specially if a global monarchy has already been approved, so the whole of the planet's wealth would go to development and investigation, health, education, home providing to my loyal people, and protection from any outer tread. Money wouldn't "look like", cash would have abolished a long time ago and all transactions would depend on debit. I support chip implantation (despite all those disgusting apocalyptic prophesies about that) so every inhabitant would carry one of these to help keeping control (after all, no one would have anything to hide in my realm).
As in an all-tech society, there would be natural humans, cyborgs, mutants, thinking machines, and maybe even aliens from other civilizations living in the cities that would be great (I mean really huge) urban centers.
Downsides... well, as long as there be humans (or part-humans) on my planet there will always be trouble.

Great question, btw. I don't know if I'm qualified to answer but I'll try. Quite a bit of time has gone into this, even before you gave us the question. So, if I forget to say so later, THANKS for asking such a complex, inviting, decision changing question. Your's are the questions that make this site wonderful and a little scary. And so,
"my" planet would not be "my planet" in name or rule. I would rather name it after a cool trait or factor. Or name it after a brilliant soul who has been passed over for recognition....Maybe The Planet Einstein or The Planet Margaret Cecilia (my mom) because she always made the house smell like homemade bread when I came home from school. Or maybe the name of the man who pulled together the passengers on Flt. 93. The least he deserves is a planet. The planet "Let's Roll!" I don't know for sure, yet.
I don't know what the people would look like or even if they would be people. I would hope they would be beings who were strong, smart, brave, open to new thinking and had never heard of the history of humanity. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be ruled by someone with knowledge of human history. I'd spend forever explaining, apologizing and assuring them we had grown out of some of our more horrible behavior.
I would not seek a palace, although I would seek an impressive place to live. The White House was built specifically to impress/intimidate visitors. Without scaring visitors, I would still like them to have the feeling of beauty and power when they entered my home while I am leader of the place.
Unless my planet was completely self sustaining, trade would be a must. I would try to strike bargains that involved barter, strengthening peace and promoting discovery. I would downplay money and accentuate barter, trade and learning as methods of payment.
The downside to my planet, clearly, would be the likelihood of being attacked by other peoples or planets who embrace violence as method.Hopefully, my planet could educate the invaders and have them join our ways. Yes, I am screamingly naive. Maybe, if giving peace a chance was part of the rule of the planet................I can hope and pray.

Everyone on the Woman Planet would be satisfied with their own looks and the looks of others. The palace would be frequently shown on Earth's HGTV, it was that lovely, but not tacky enough for old episodes of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
I would be Queen of the Woman Planet.
Every woman would be treated like the queen.
All currency would reflect the face of the owner of the currency.
Men would worship the ground women walked on, and would enjoy doing it.
The one rule people would follow would be to "leave people and places better than you found it." If you disobeyed this rule you'd be immediately beamed to a planet without air.
Thus death would ensue.

There would be no trading within the solar system, with the Woman Planet. Our planet would not allow tourists.

The special item that our planet likes is our Georgia O'Keefe art collection.

The downside to our planet is that men could never rule.

I already have a planet and am the current ruler. My planet is called "Tri-flam-adore. Kinky Sex is not allowed on my planet although we have hourly shuttles as do most other planets that go to Earth to imprenate women in most redneck out of town areas. We are a unique body style and are transformers. IF a person of the same sex desires the other we are forced to transform which is better than taking up the... ANYWAY moving on... All the animals talk and can be conciencous objectors if they do not wish to be eaten but we usually talk them into giving it up. We have politics but in my world when they make a mistake we beat them over the heat until it gets soft. We have an after life and are able to visit on weekends and holidays and can bring things back if it is less than four ounces in a clear plastic bag. In my world drugs make you normal so there is not much drug use and everyone is feeling pretty fine. Pain and suffering has only ever been seen in movie theatres watching Rocky 1,2,3, 4,5,6,7,..... When people speak you can adjust your ears to make the words sing in any musical arrangement you like best. When two people are in love and attached this can easily be seen because they are physically attached at the neck until they decide they want some space. When three or more people agree that the other person is wrong they all tap that person on the shoulder with a hot poker. Most people on my planet agree with each other. If you want to visit my planet click your heels four times. to return to Earth you click your heels three times.

It would always be fall.. leaves changing colors and falling.. windy.. cool. The planet would be nothing but woods and orchards and fields. People would live in very big, nice treehouses. I'd have the biggest treehouse palace. People would be tall, 1-2 feet taller on average than we are on Earth. All natural, people and animals living together. And no money.. people work together doing what they're good at. Above all, there would be no religion on my planet.

Downside... I hate water, so there wouldn't be any on the planet, so we'd have to find a water source on another planet. That would be kinda difficult.

I would give an answer but my answer would be full of references to sources that would make me sound like a bit of an otaku.

Lets just say it would be nothing like Earth. Everyone would be human looking of course, everything would be totally clean (no things like STDs, cancer, viruses, drugs, litter, pollution, waste, nuclear reactors etc) and very nature orientated. Ever played the PS2 game Final Fantasy X/X-2... something like that with some alterations.

There would be zero religion and people would want it that way. They would be individuals and not followers but singular figures moving in the same direction. People wouldn't be so damn uptight about things like sex and nudity.

And just for me, I'd make it that everyone was attractive, you had double the lifespan of a normal human, you COULD NOT PUT ON FAT, peaches wouldn't have pips.

There are some more... controversial things that I'd like my planet to be like but we'll leave those in my mind for now.

Weather-wise there would be parts of my planet that would have a typical weather patter. EG: some parts would be snowy all the time, some parts tropical, some parts cool. But it would be all in isolated patches around the globe.

My planet would be made of diamond through and through.All the guys would be super HOT!! And I would be the only girl and every guy would pay attention to me. It would have jewels everywhere!!And if you were a guy who live on my planet you and i both would live for ever!!There would be no fat foods and low calorie sweets.It wold kinda be like Hawaii except for without the drugs and the ugly people.The down side would be that my counter tops would have to be granite and not opal. My planet would be the center of the universe if you came you would have to have an invetation by me!!And my solar system would have planets made of emerald and saphire planets.My planet would trade mostly with the saphire planet.

That about makes it very clear in very few words of what my world would be like. Oh and I would not have a palace do to everyone being equal.

My planet would sort of be like Earth only everything is backwards. (the sky is green, the grass blue, apples yellow, bananas red, ect.) and if you were driving you could not talk on your cell phone or you can get a ticket. there would be no such thing as drugs. The people would not look the same but not be really different. If you had blonde hair you would have bright green eyes, brown hair blue aquamarine eyes, red hair and purple eyes and any other colors (such as black[ In this land you can be born with pink,blue and purple hair]) Your eyes would be hazel. People would like dark colored clothes such as black, brown, dark green & dark blue. Not a lot of girls would like skirts or dresses. Most everyone would wear pants and If they wanted to come see me they would have to be wearing pants. Most everyone would be perfect. Anyone would be allowed to see me except people who weren't perfect and went to Jail.
