It really depends on the box size. I think its best to get a box from the post office. They're only like $20 for 12 months. UPS and Mailbox Inc are probably more expensive.

I guess you don't care about this after 7 years, but to anyone else who might care:

All Mailbox Etc locations have now re-branded to The UPS Store. All stores are individually owned, so of course prices are different but it's safe to say that a small mailbox would cost between $12-$15 per month, depending on how long you rent for.

You get 24/7 access, a street address (not a PO-Box#), and packages from all carriers (not just USPS) There are more perks than a PO Box, but of course it costs a LOT more. It depends on your needs.

MAKE SURE TO CALL AROUND, because each store is different, their policy might be different too.

I have rented from both the U.S. postal service and also the MailBoxs, Etc.-type businesses.

The P.O. Boxes from the real U.S. post office are far superior to the other place. You can actually send packages Priority Mail, send letters overnight, and they always did a great job getting mail & packages to me, even at Christmas. You can enter 24/7 to get your mail. You can choose a small box OR BIG HUGE box for $30-$100 a year. When you move, they forward your mail for free - just fill out ONE form. It's easy.

The UPS stores/Mailboxes, Etc. places give you a teeny tiny mailbox for $120 to $160 a year! It costs a ton of money. You can't get to your mail 24/7, you can only get your mail when that particular store is open. AND the biggest problem we encountered is this: when you move they do NOT forward your mail. They let your mail accumulate and put it in a box then mail it to you in bulk! And they charge you every single time they forward mail to you, like $20 a pop! They also screwed up all of our Christmas packages, our kids didn't get presents that relatives sent them until AFTER Christmas! The MB Etc employees had misplaced our packages at Xmas and again at one of their birthdays.

I prefer the United States Post Office for P.O. Boxes, all the others are MORE expensive and don't do a very good job.

An arm and a leg apparently. ~$20+/month with min 3 month payment and $15+ on-time set up fee - this is with UPS and similar places that give you the actual address. USPS is cheaper if just PO box address is needed. Really cheap USPS would be ~ $16 for 3 month for smallest box, but at the moment were not available. Wait-listed just in case still need it later.
