I would pick myself, first of i really could do with the cash, second anybody can pick the 11 best players in the UK,getting 11 players to become a great team is the problem, but i cant recall an England manager since 66 trying to do that.

I would choose a combination of 2 managers and both of them would be Premiership managers. But who?
SMcLaren: he is already there but has got no one to help him out as TVenables is there but lokks more of a spectator than anything else and the man helping stevie out should be SAllardyce since the England should get some sort of a whip and Big Sam has got SOMETHING OF A WHIP TO GET THE ENGLAND TEAM GOING!!!

The fact that top clubs don't have any englishmena and don't even think of having one due to challenge, we also have to understand that looking at the qualities the national side has, it would make a better team comparing to one of the best clubs in europe so, as long as none of those clubs would not take the likes of Allardyce, McLaren etc... Then there is no english who deserves to be appointed as the national side manager due to a lack of world class skills and experience.

Thanx!

I originally thought Sam Allardyce. But yesterday I realised that Harry Redknapp could do it. He made West Ham what they were before Glenn Roeder interfered and has done a fantastic job a Portsmouth in both stints. The little weasel has also gone about destroying Southampton like as though he is
a Portsmouth man through blood.

Steve Coppell.

Doing a great job at Reading. Seems to command a lot of respect in the game and is probably the only real up and coming English manager left that hasn't sullied his reputation (Curbishley, Pardew, Pearce, etc......).

Sam Allardyce no contest. He's operating on a shoestring yet has got Bolton in the top 10 consistently. He gets the best out of players & isn't afraid to drop a player who isn't producing.

If he had to be English then no doubts it would have to be Big Sam. His record of taking underperforming 'stars' and turning them into a decent team is exactly what England need.

If not then Martin O'Neill for his exuberance or Scolari for his track record....

Why not try something different and go with the "younger" lads.. What about Alan Shearer or Paul Scholes. Lads who are closer to the footballing than the usual managers.

He never was, Sam Allardyce was always a better manager. But I will change things and bring in Alex Ferguson.
